February 4 is National Wear Red Day

Are you wearing red today?  If so, why? If not, why not?

These are questions that many of us don’t take the time to answer.  Everyone says, “wear red on Friday” and we decide to follow along with the crowd or simply choose not to participate without much thought about the cause.

However, I want to challenge you to take a few minutes to find out what “National Wear Red Day” is all about, if you don’t already know.

Personally, I am wearing red because as a type 1 diabetic, heart disease is one of the leading complications that I could one day face.  Although I don’t have unlimited resources to support all of the causes that are dear to my heart, supporting the American Heart Association with a nominal donation and wearing red is possibly the least that I can do.

Check out the following links and educate yourself on the American Heart Association and National Wear Red Day

Thanks and please share this information with others who may or may not be wearing red today.
